Finger Prick Tests

Available from £39

Vitamin D

Are you constantly tired — even after a full night’s sleep?

Low vitamin D could be the hidden reason behind your fatigue, low mood, or weakened immunity.

What do we test?

We use a specialised test to measure the amount of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) in your blood — Think of it as a snapshot of how much vitamin D your body has available to support essential functions like bone strength, immune defence, and muscle health.

HbA1c (Diabetes)

Are you feeling thirstier than usual, needing to urinate more often, or noticing unexplained weight loss or tiredness?

An HbA1c test gives you a clear picture of your average blood sugar over the past 2-3 months, helping you make informed choices for long-term health.

What do we test?

The HbA1c test – also known as the glycated haemoglobin test – gives a reliable average of your blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months, beyond the day-to-day ups and downs. It’s one of the most trusted tools doctors use to detect, monitor, and manage diabetes effectively.

Ferritin (Iron Levels)

Feeling constantly fatigued or experiencing other unexplained symptoms? The ferritin test shows how much iron is stored in your body and identifies deficiencies or excesses that may affect your health.

Iron imbalances go unnoticed until they become problematic. Regular testing catches these problems early. Monitoring ferritin helps your body get enough iron for oxygen transport and energy production.

What do we test?

The Ferritin Test is a crucial diagnostic tool to assess your body ‘s iron storage levels, offering important insights into your overall iron balance, helping to detect overload, adequacy, or iron deficiency.

The test measures the degree of ferritin, a protein which stores iron in your body. It offers a clear image of your iron stores, that is crucial for creating hemoglobin – the protein in white blood cells responsible for oxygen transport.

Progesterone (Ovulation)

Test your progesterone levels for reproductive health, pregnancy monitoring and diagnosis of certain medical conditions.

Progesterone is an important hormone during the menstruation cycle and pregnancy which helps not only maintain uterine health and increase fetal development but also protects the uterus.

What do we test?

A very simple blood test checks how much of this essential steroid hormone you have in your body. The progesterone prepares the uterus for pregnancy, supports early fetal development and controls the menstrual cycle.

During pregnancy, the placenta produces large amounts of progesterone to maintain a healthy environment for the growing fetus. For nonpregnant females the test might verify ovulation or diagnose abnormal uterine bleeding and hormonal imbalances. As a health marker, progesterone levels can reflect adrenal or testicular disorders in men.

HS-CRP (Heart Screening)

Testing your high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels is one of the most effective ways to uncover silent inflammation that contributes to heart disease.

Even when cholesterol and blood pressure appear normal, raised hs-CRP levels can reveal early warning signs of cardiovascular risk.

What do we test for?

CRP, or C-reactive protein, is a key marker in the blood that rises in response to inflammation or infection. Elevated CRP may also occur after a heart attack, surgery or trauma.

Persistent low-level inflammation detected by CRP testing is linked to atherosclerosis – narrowed blood vessels caused by cholesterol build-up – and increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD).

The hs-CRP test measures even small elevations of CRP in blood with high specificity. Identifying persistent vascular inflammation predicts CVD risk and allows early intervention to limit health risks.

CRP

Are you experiencing fever, fatigue, or shortness of breath that doesn’t seem to go away?

These may be signs of hidden inflammation — your body’s early warning system that something isn’t right.

What do we test for?

A C-reactive protein (CRP) test measures the amount of CRP circulating in your bloodstream. CRP is a protein made by your liver and released whenever there’s inflammation in your body.

Under normal conditions, CRP levels are very low — but they can rise sharply within hours in response to infection, injury, or chronic disease. By measuring these levels, the test helps detect hidden inflammation, monitor treatment progress, and guide further investigations when necessary.

Cortisol Screening (Stress Hormone)

Feeling constantly tired and stressed after rest? These could be signals of low cortisol – your body’s main stress hormone.

A simple Cortisol Screening at KP Pharma can pinpoint the cause of these symptoms & help you get back in balance. Cortisol controls your energy, metabolism and response to stress.

What do we test for?

Our cortisol test looks at how much cortisol your blood contains – an important glucocorticoid hormone. This marker is critical for regulating your body response to stress, metabolism and well being.

Appropriate measurement of cortisol levels diagnoses adrenal and pituitary gland disorders and provides prompt and efficient treatment.

AMH (Ovarian Reserve)

Are you planning your family or concerned about your fertility? Know your Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) levels to manage your reproductive health.

This simple test gives you an insight into your ovarian reserves, helping you make informed decisions on family planning, fertility treatments or health issues like PCOS or early menopause.

What do we test for?

We do a specialised blood test to measure your Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) levels. AMH is a snapshot of your reproductive health and reflects ovarian function and reserve.

This simple, informative test reveals your fertility potential and underlying conditions affecting ovarian health.

Cystatin C (Kidney Screening)

Concerned about your kidney function or overall health? Kidney disease progresses silently, frequently showing no symptoms until substantial damage has occurred.

Cystatin C testing offers a far more correct assessment of kidney function in certain scenarios exactly where traditional techniques might not be reliable.

What do we test for?

The Cystatin C test is a precise way to assess kidney function by measuring the amount of cystatin C in your blood. This small but essential protein offers critical insights into just how efficiently your kidneys are filtering waste.

Unlike some other markers cystatin C is not influenced by muscle mass or diet and therefore provides reliable results in individuals with varying body types.

Regular monitoring of cystatin C levels helps detect kidney dysfunction early on, flat when creatinine or maybe eGFR levels seem to be normal.

RF (Rheumatoid Screening)

Testing your Rheumatoid Factor (RF) levels helps diagnose and manage conditions like Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).

The RF test checks for a protein in your blood that signals autoimmune disorders, which affect your immune system. Catching these issues early with an RF test can help manage them better. Here’s why this test is important:

What do we test for?

An RF test measures rheumatoid factor levels in your blood. These are immune-related proteins that mistakenly attack healthy cells and tissues.

By analysing RF levels the test identifies markers of autoimmune activity, providing insight into possible disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. Accurate measurement of RF is the first step towards understanding your body’s immune response and managing conditions underlying persistent inflammation.

hCG +B (Pregnancy Indication)

The Beta hCG blood test confirms early pregnancy and monitors progress, while also serving as a tumour marker for certain medical conditions.

It plays a vital role in assessing reproductive and general health swiftly and effectively.

What do we test for?

Beta hCG blood test measures hCG concentration in your blood. This is an essential hormone during early pregnancies and gives information about pregnancy progress and health in general.

It measures the concentration of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced by the placenta shortly after implantation.

Folate (Vitamin B9)

Folate help your body make red blood cells, maintain nerve health and generally feel good.

Deficits are detected earlier and treated to avoid complications such as anaemia, neuropathy and cognitive decline. Here’s why they matter:

What do we test for?

Your Folate test measures the concentrations of nutrients in your serum (the liquid part of your blood).

These markers help reveal how the body is making new red blood cells, repairing tissue, making DNA and maintaining nerve health. This test is particularly important in detecting deficiencies early to prevent serious complications.

Cholesterol & Blood Lipids

High cholesterol levels often are a key risk factor for a common type of heart disease called coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease can lead to conditions such as heart attack and stroke.

You should test your cholesterol if you have a family history of heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, are over 40 or are looking for a baseline health check.

What do we test for?

A complete cholesterol test measures the amounts of four types of fats in blood: TCH (total cholesterol), LDL-C (bad cholesterol), HDL-C (good cholesterol) and TG (triglycerides)

All are key players in your heart and metabolic health.

A complete cholesterol test can also help find out whether your cholesterol is high. It also can help gauge your risk of heart and blood vessel diseases.

RSV / Influenza AB

Testing for Influenza (Flu A and B) and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is crucial for understanding respiratory health, preventing complications, and managing potential outbreaks.

These viruses are significant causes of respiratory illness, particularly during the winter months.

What do we test for?

We utilise advanced rapid antigen detection tests to identify the presence of Influenza A, Influenza B, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) antigens in nasal swab specimens.

These tests identify viral proteins specific to those infections. The resultant rapid identification of the viruses for timely clinical decision making reduces risk of complications and transmission, with results in just 15 minutes. complications and transmission, with results in just 15 minutes.

Advanced Blood Tests

Available from £49

TSH (Thyroid Function)

Testing Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels is essential for understanding your thyroid function and overall health.

The thyroid gland plays a critical role in regulating metabolism, energy levels, and hormonal balance. A TSH test can identify thyroid problems early for prompt intervention and management.

What do we test for?

The TSH test measures the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in your blood to assess how well your thyroid is functioning.

TSH is produced by the pituitary gland and signals your thyroid to produce the necessary hormones to regulate metabolism, energy levels and other bodily functions. It is very important in diagnosing overactive or hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) conditions.

FHS (Menopause)

Are you experiencing unexplained symptoms that could be linked to hormonal imbalances? Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) test is an important tool for hormonal health diagnosis and monitoring.

FSH influences ovulation, sperm production and puberty. Understanding FSH levels can help with many health issues.

What do we test for?

A simple blood test called a follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) test can quickly and easily determine your hormonal state.

You can use it to measure FSH levels in your blood to learn about reproductive health and hormonal balance.

NT-ProBNP

Are you short of breath, having a fast heartbeat or experiencing swelling in your legs or abdomen? These symptoms may indicate heart strain or failure.

Knowing your NT-proBNP (B-type natriuretic peptide) or NT-proBNP levels are important for the diagnosis and management of heart diseases. This easy test working with KP Pharma helps find out if you have heart failure early and how severe your condition is.

What do we test for?

Our NT-proBNP test provides critical information into heart health by measuring specific cardiac strain / failure markers.

These markers help diagnose acute and chronic heart conditions, guide treatment decisions and monitor ongoing cardiac health.

D-Dimer

Are you experiencing unexplained shortness of breath, chest pain, a rapid heart rate, or swelling in one leg? These symptoms may be associated with abnormal blood clot formation and should be assessed promptly.

Knowing your D-dimer levels is important in the investigation and management of conditions where blood clots may be present or suspected. This simple blood test helps identify whether your body is breaking down a clot, which can be an important early indicator of conditions such as deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.

What do we test for?

Our D-dimer test provides valuable insight into clot formation and breakdown within the body by measuring fibrin degradation products in the blood.

These markers help support the assessment of suspected thrombotic conditions, assist in ruling out serious clot-related disorders, and guide further diagnostic and treatment decisions.

Specialist Tests

Available from £59

Testosterone

Testosterone hormone is essential for physical development, reproductive health and well being of both males and females.

Regular testosterone testing identifies underlying health issues, supports hormone therapy and helps you maintain healthy hormonal balance.

What do we test for?

A testosterone test measures how much testosterone your blood has. This hormone, predominantly associated with male characteristics, is also present in females in smaller quantities.

The test typically involves drawing a blood sample from a vein in your arm, usually between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. when testosterone levels are highest.

Vitamin B12

Test your Vitamin B12 levels for deficiencies impacting energy, neurological function and health. Vitamin B12 plays a critical role in red blood cell production, DNA synthesis, and maintaining healthy nerve function.

Deficiency in this important nutrient may go unnoticed for years but can cause serious problems if not treated. This simple test gives you insight and early detection into your wellbeing.

What do we test for?

Your Vitamin B12 blood test lets you know just how much cobalamin is in your blood – an important nutrient to help keep you feeling lively and healthy.

This test can tell you about red blood cell production, nerve health and the ability to repair cells and tissues.
