Here at The Four B's our Practitioner's use Techniques with a Needle & Cannula.

Dermal fillers are used as an effective treatment for deep lines and wrinkles. They can help reduce these deep lines and wrinkles, fill hollows, enhance sunken cheeks and smooth the contours of your face. They are even used for nose and jaw augmentation. Anti-ageing facial fillers are the non-surgical way to achieve younger looking skin and provide volume.

As your skin ages, it loses the collagen that helps shape and support it. Natural lines and wrinkles deepen. Sun exposure, smoking, air pollution and even stress can all age your appearance. The face can also begin to lose volume giving sunken cheeks and a ‘dragged down’ appearance.

Dermal Fillers are a non-invasive treatment with little downtime, so you can return to day to day activities straight away. The reduction of lines and wrinkles give you a more youthful looking appearance. It replenishes lost volume for a softer more younger look and gives long lasting results.

I commonly get asked " Kirsty what exactly are Dermal Fillers???" So in answer to this...... Dermal Fillers are Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan, which is polysaccharide (essentially a very large sugar!). It is naturally occurring in connective tissue throughout our bodies, with 50 percent of it being found in our skin. Hyaluronic Acid is powerful stuff.  But don't let the word “acid” fool you. This gel-like water-holding molecule is a moisture-binding ingredient that helps keep skin plump and hydrated. Drinking water helps this product last longer for you too!!

Dermal filler is injected in small controlled doses just under the surface of skin of the area to be treated. I use different injecting techniques for the different areas of the face I am treating. I will explain this in further detail to you during your free consultation. These techniques fill out the sunken areas and lines to give a smoother, firmer and more refreshed appearance. Depending on the type of dermal filler used, results can last from 6 to 24 months. The average life of treatment in the lips is less than other areas because of the high vascularisation and action of the lip area.

Small amounts of dermal filler are injected directly into the skin using an ultrafine needle. After cleansing the area to be treated, a numbing cream will be applied. This ensures the injections administered by me will only cause minor discomfort.

Dermal filler treatments should ONLY be carried out by a fully trained and qualified medical professional. Dermal Filler IS NOT a (POM) so you DO NOT need a prescription. However please ALWAYS ask to see certificates. Copies of mine are always available for my clients and are all displayed in my consultation room. This is important as a lot of beauticians are now offering this procedure with no knowledge of the risks and facial anatomy.

Depending on the area treated, the procedure usually takes no longer than 30 minutes and you can leave as soon as you are ready to do so.

No recovery time is required after dermal filler treatment and you can return to day to day activities straight away. You may experience some slight swelling or bruising to the area being injected and typically doens't last longer than 48 hours but can last up to a week.

On initially meeting during your free consultation i will give you your personal treatment plan designed to meet your individual needs.

I use many different ranges of dermal filler for different areas of the face. Therefore if you have a particular preference i am happy to order this in specifically for you. However this will depend on the area being treated as to which product i would recommend, I would recommend the most suitable product to achieve your desired result. From my experience and amazing client feedback i am currently using a dermal filler called Revolax. You can find out more information about Revolax from www.revolax.uk
